Fairfield x AmplifyME Academy kicks off with a bang

The 18th December saw another positive step in Fairfield’s ability to positively impact on the lives of young people across the UK, with the launch of our first virtual 3 day academy. This will be run by AmplifyME and is supported by Marshall Wace.

Even when competing with pigs in blankets, unlimited mince pies and Christmas parties this still won out as the most exciting thing to happen in December. The academy will run in the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays and will have space for 300 16-18 year old pupils who will be recruited through our Schools and Colleges Programme.

The first one was an incredible success with a group of completely engaged students completing virtual trading and investing simulations, an M&A task which involved using Excel to build valuation models and learning about everything from ESG to capital markets. They all received a Level 4 Diploma in Investment Management on completion and are now armed with information and self understanding to help guide them towards the right careers.

Overall it was a great end to a great year, roll on 2024!
