Impact Report 2024

Our 2025 Impact Report

Laurie Robathan standing behind a desk

“Reading last year’s Impact Report, and reflecting on this year’s achievements, the one word that comes to mind is “more”.

We’ve travelled to more schools.

We’ve helped more students.

Our Core Candidates have got more jobs.

Our sponsors have taken on more interns.

More volunteers have committed more of their time to help more young people from low income backgrounds.

At Fairfield we’ll never compromise the quality of the work we do for the sake of scale. I’m proud to say we’ve found a way of providing more of everything whilst maintaining our level of advice and guidance.

One of the main reasons we’ve been able to do this is our Alumni. The relevance of their recent experiences and the success they’ve achieved is both inspirational and informative for the younger groups in equal measure.

I also want to say thanks to all the teachers, community workers, finance industry volunteers and, most importantly, the hard working students. They inevitably take every opportunity we give them and maximise it, and that’s what keeps us going..

Here’s to more of the same for 2026.”

Schools and Colleges Programme

Our Mission

Throughout the year we aim to meet with >5,000 16-18 year old students in Schools & Colleges in low income areas across the UK to discuss career opportunities in the finance industry. We provide practical steps students can take to increase their employability and better understand their career options. Our sessions are an easy way for these institutions to fulfil Gatsby Benchmarks 2, 4 & 5 in one free service for schools.

Building Regional Partnerships

We have continued to build long lasting relationships with schools, teachers, education trusts, charities and key figures in all the communities we visit.

We focus on visiting economic ‘cold spots’ across all regions of the UK and our team travelled over 5,000 miles during 2025 and have worked with institutions in 23 regions.

On completion of the 3 day programme students will receive a Level 4 Diploma certificate which can be added to their CV and Linkedin accounts and gives them an edge when applying for universities, apprenticeships and jobs.
